What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Sterilization Technician position at Dental Professionals?
Practice Description:Fast paced family practice with a specialist (Prosthodontist) in the office two times per week. We have a Fun Team that works well together. We need someone who likes to stay busy.
Job Description:Sterilization: Prepare instruments for sterilization, and operate equipment like washers, autoclaves, and heat sealers.
Cleaning: Clean examination rooms, surgery areas, chairs, countertops, and other surfaces.
Inventory: Maintain inventory and supplies and perform environmental maintenance checks.
Documentation: Maintain and update logs and records of supply transactions.
Clerical: Perform clerical duties like scheduling appointments, maintaining dental records, and referring patients to other services.
Assurance testing: Perform assurance testing.
Patient interaction: Depending on the role and employer, may interact directly with patients for tasks such as getting them seated in their operatory.
Should have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask. Should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism and composure during stressful situations.

Pay Range: 19-25/hr.

Requirements:
Work Schedule: Office hours are Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30. Work schedule is a rotating schedule - one week work Mon-Thurs, next week work Tues-Fri. This gives a 4-day weekend every other week.
Years Experience Required: 0, will train.
Required Skills: Knowledge of dental terminology a plus
Other Requirements: WA dental assistant registration (which can be obtained at a later date)
