Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient interactions and administrative processes within our practice. This position requires a strong understanding of medical coding, familiarity with healthcare regulations, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage patient care plans and coordinate appointments.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including filing documents and updating care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize coding knowledge, to ensure proper documentation and billing processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
- Assist in the management of administrative tasks such as insurance verification and processing referrals.
- Utilize Orthotrac software for patient management and record keeping.
- Ensure a welcoming environment for patients while addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Orthodontic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing phone systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Pay: $18.67 - $24.00 per hour
