Dispatcher

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our towing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching tow trucks to accident scenes, breakdowns, and other roadside assistance requests. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to incoming calls from drivers in need of towing services.
• Quickly assess the situation and dispatch the appropriate tow truck to the location.
• Provide drivers with clear instructions and information about the estimated arrival time of the tow truck.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, including call logs, tow truck assignments, and completion status.
• Communicate effectively with tow truck drivers to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Monitor traffic conditions and provide drivers with safe routes to avoid delays.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the company's database of service areas and contact information.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred.
• Previous experience in a dispatching or customer service role is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using computers and dispatch software.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple calls simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and roadways.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations.
• Reliable and punctual with a valid driver's license.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Night shift
