We are one of the leading medical/dental focused IT vendors in Oregon and currently we are in need of highly skilled network technicians for our Portland division. We are a locally grown small business that has been leading the industry for nearly 15 years. Servicing a large geographic area out of two service hubs in Portland and Eugene with coverage from Seattle to the southern Oregon border. On the job training is given as our field can be very proprietary. The industry specific knowledge is not expected but comes easily when combined with a strong base IT and networking background. The job is very client focused and self-directed with a virtually unlimited ability to grow a client base and within the company.

This is not a desk job. You must be able to and enjoy interacting with people, having every day be different, occasionally getting dirty and comfortable driving to the throughout the states of Oregon and Washington any time of year.

Technical Skill Requirements

- Familiarity with and ability to recognize and work within all Windows Server Environments.
- Knowledgeable in managing and deploying Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
- Firm understanding of User Permissions and Group Policy Management in a Windows AD environment.
- Solid understanding of File and Folder Sharing, Drive Mapping, and Printer Sharing and Management in all Microsoft Windows workstation and server environments.
- Understanding of email programs, protocols, procedures and identify what is in use and how it s configured.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, installation, activation and configuration.
- Working knowledge of virtualization environments, specifically Hyper-V
- Knowledge of various network protocols (specifically TCP/IP) and the tools used to test communications on these protocols.
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting, to include routing, switches, vlans, and firewalls. (Respondent should be able to setup and configure a complete working network environment from scratch.)
At least two years of end user technical support experience.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal calmly, positively and professionally in tense or elevated situations.
- Able to manage time effectively and work efficiently, both with and without direct supervision
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent judgment skills to be able to properly evaluate situations and immediately provide effective solutions.
- Great attention to details, good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
Good communication skills. Able to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
Must be physically fit for the job: able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must have a valid driver s license and a dependable vehicle.

Hours and Compensation Details

Training
- Hourly Compensation starting at $25 per hr. with a guarantee of 32 hours or more per week
- Training typically lasts 90 days but could end earlier or be extended based on skill set.

Post Training
- Full-Time plus hours. Our technicians average 35-55 hours per week currently.
- Hourly Compensation $30 per hr. Continued raises in compensation are based on performance and not longevity in the company.
- Performance bonuses
- Medical insurance.
- Technician will be expected to work much more independently as well as on project with other team members.
