We are a small doctor owner practice, with a small team- each one ready to support and uplift each other. For this position, lack of experience can be compensated by someone who has a friendly, jovial, upbeat personality, who really care for people around them, mostly patients and coworkers. We are mostly looking for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays - 9 am to 6 pm, more hours can be available as needed. Friday & Saturday is MUST.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. We are an Invisalign office with focus on general dentistry and implant surgery. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and the ability to maintain a sterile environment while ensuring patient comfort.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Take photographs, i-tero scans, and provide Invisalign support to patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage dental equipment and ensure proper sterilization techniques are followed.
- Utilize dental software such as Epic for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Support the front office with administrative tasks as needed, including appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
- Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to provide optimal support during procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical records management, and basic medical coding is beneficial.
- Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be organized, reliable, and possess a positive attitude towards teamwork.
