Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires an understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Willing to train entry level candidate motivated to learn. Will consider Assistants without certifications to assist the team with sterilization, operatory turn over, and patient interaction. Consideration to pay for assistant certification costs as an employee after 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques at all times.
- Record patient medical histories and other relevant information accurately.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Curve, Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software systems is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is an advantage.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field of dentistry.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
