Position Overview:
As a Front Desk / Dental Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our practice runs smoothly. This versatile position requires an outgoing and personable individual who can seamlessly transition between patient interactions at the front desk, assisting our dental team in the clinic, and maintaining sterilization protocols. Your role will be critical in providing a positive, smooth experience for our patients and supporting the overall efficiency of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and adjust schedule accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain an orderly, sanitized environment.
- Follow sterilization protocols to ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and disinfected.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Assisting team wherever needed (i.e. perio depth recording, flipping operatories, checking in lab cases, etc).
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong connections with patients.
- Outgoing, friendly, and able to make patients feel comfortable in the dental environment.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to different roles in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
