Duties

- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide direct patient care, including dental assisting duties such as taking impressions, performing adjustments, and managing medical imaging.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and documentation.
- Collaborate with orthodontists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Conduct training sessions on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in dental assisting.
Experience
- Must have experience working as a Dental Assistant.
- Proven experience in orthodontics or related dental fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with prosthodontics, medical coding, and medical documentation is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices within a clinical setting.
- Proficient in using Dentrix software for efficient practice management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical environment is highly desirable.
