Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and attentive individual to join our team as a Lifeguard. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at the pool. This is a paid position that requires strong swimming skills, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to provide excellent guest service.
Duties:
- Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
- Provide first aid or CPR as needed until medical professionals arrive
- Perform pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, checking chemical levels, and maintaining equipment
- Assist with member services, including answering questions, providing information, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with other lifeguards and pool manager to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Must be a certified Lifeguard with current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues if necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, walking, and swimming
- Ability to lift heavy objects related to pool maintenance (up to 50 pounds)
- Prior experience in lifeguarding or related roles is preferred but not required
