Description
We are looking for compassionate and team-oriented Mental Health Professionals to join our Clinical Services Team providing evidence based, trauma informed individual and group counseling services primarily to adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault receiving services through the agency emergency shelters and non-residential outreach office. The ideal candidate would have at least 1-3 years of applicable experience providing individual and group counseling services. A Contract Counselor serving adult survivors must have training and experience in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
The Contract Counselor will operate as an independent contractor (1099) with DCFOF, providing a minimum of 10 individual and/or group sessions per week via telehealth or face-to face services.
Reports to: Adult Clinical Services Coordinator
Compensation for Fully Licensed Counselor: $90 for 45-50 minute session and 60 minute groups/$135 for 90 minute groups/$50 Administrative hour rate/$20 No Show hour rate
Compensation for Provisionally Licensed Counselor: $75 for 45-50 minute session and 60 minute groups/$120 for 90 minute groups/$50 Administrative hour rate/$20 No Show hour rate
Primary Functions:
- Prepare and maintain a service plan with each client
- Provide evidence-based trauma treatment
- Ensure appropriate and current information and referrals are given to clients
- Coordinate client services with other internal programs and staff
- Maintain client files and records with confidentiality and accurate and complete documentation within 48 hours of client contact
- Ensure completion of all required client agreements, forms, surveys and assessments
- Collect and report statistical data reflecting the services provided
- Clean and organize play therapy/activity room in preparation for next child/adolescent client (if applicable)
- Comply with organization’s policies, procedures and professional standards
- Maintain up to date schedule and available openings and make schedule available to supervisor
- Participate in DCFOF training or meetings as requested/required
- Provide a minimum of 15 individual and/or group sessions per week via telehealth or face to face sessions

Requirements
Prerequisites:
- Licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP) or Provisionally Licensed (LMSW, LPC- Associate, LMFT-Associate, Post-Doc) with established outside supervisor
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of relationship violence and sexual assault
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma on adults and children
- CPT training/experience or EMDR trained
- Experience providing both face to face and telehealth services
- Bilingual in Spanish
Preferences:
- Full licensure preferred
