Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safety planning and crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Offer supportive services to shelter residents, including transportation, childcare, linkage to community resources, and psycho-education.
- Conduct telephone screenings for shelter eligibility and coordinate transportation for eligible individuals.
- Dispatch Survivor Advocates to Denton County Hospitals for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to easily climb stairs.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
