Position Overview:
As the Social Media Manager for Denton Diablos, you will be responsible for crafting and executing our social media strategy across multiple platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more. You will work closely with the marketing, communications, and game-day teams to create content that amplifies the team's voice, enhances fan engagement, and drives attendance and awareness for the club's events, games, and community outreach.
Your role will involve managing content calendars, posting timely updates, creating compelling visuals and videos, and measuring social media performance to continuously improve our approach. You'll be the creative force behind our digital campaigns and will be expected to stay ahead of trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and execute engaging and on-brand content for all social media platforms, including text, graphics, photos, videos, and stories.
- Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments, messages, and engage in real-time during live events or games.
- Brand Voice: Maintain and elevate the club’s voice and tone on all platforms, ensuring consistency with the team's brand and values.
- Campaign Management: Create and manage social media campaigns to promote ticket sales, special events, sponsorships, and community outreach.
- Collaboration: Work with the marketing and PR teams to align on initiatives, promote sponsorships, and create cross-functional campaigns.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor, track, and report on social media metrics to measure success and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Event Coverage: Provide live social media coverage for home games, away games, and special events.
- Trend Spotting: Stay current on social media trends, platform changes, and soccer industry news to ensure our content stays relevant and fresh.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Digital Content Creator, or similar role (preferably in sports, entertainment, or a fan-driven industry).
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong creative writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Basic photography and videography skills, with experience in creating high-quality digital content.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality content.
- A strong passion for soccer and sports culture, with an understanding of fan engagement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during the season and game days.
