Position Overview:
As the Videographer/Video Editor for Denton Diablos, you'll be at the heart of our digital content strategy, capturing and editing video that showcases the excitement of our games, events, and behind-the-scenes moments. Your work will be essential in building the team’s visual identity, driving fan engagement, and elevating our brand across social media and digital platforms.
You’ll work closely with the marketing, social media, and game-day teams to produce content that resonates with fans, highlights our players, and brings our community together. From game highlights to promotional videos to fan features, your videos will be integral in telling the story of our team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Video Production: Film high-quality video content during games, training sessions, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage into dynamic and engaging videos for social media, website content, marketing campaigns, and other platforms.
- Highlight Reels: Create game highlight packages, player profiles, and promotional videos that capture the excitement and emotion of the sport.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with marketing, social media, and event staff to create video content that aligns with the team’s goals and messaging.
- Fan Engagement: Develop content that connects with fans on an emotional level, using storytelling and visuals to enhance the fan experience.
- Live Event Coverage: Provide real-time video coverage for home games, away games, and other live events.
- Creative Input: Stay ahead of trends in video production and editing techniques to ensure our content is fresh, high-quality, and innovative.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain video files, ensuring easy access for future use.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a videographer/video editor, ideally in sports, entertainment, or a related field.
- Expertise in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Proficiency in shooting with DSLR, mirrorless cameras, and other professional video equipment.
- Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, and storytelling.
- Experience with creating social media videos, including short-form content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during live events and game days.
- Strong attention to detail, with a passion for high-quality production.
- A keen interest in soccer and understanding of the game’s culture is a huge plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during game season and special events.
