Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is expanding, and we are seeking a highly skilled Finish Superintendent to join our team.

The Finish Superintendent will be assigned to a project team, responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction of high density residential and mixed use projects. This field-based position will be assigned to oversee certain trades relatable to the interior and exterior finishes of the project. This position works directly with the Project Manager and other Denton Floyd team members ensuring the timely and safe completion of projects and delivery of high-quality product.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the progress, quality and safety of work performed at assigned project.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA and Denton Floyd policies.
- Monitoring performance of project operations and advising the Senior Superintendent of all potential interruptions to the success of the project.
- Working closely with the Project Managers and Superintendents to create and maintain project schedules.
- Attending construction meetings to establish a plan for smooth transitions between various stages of construction and field operations.
- Overseeing trade specific preparation and presentation of project execution plans, monitoring all on-site activities to ensure schedule compliance, quality control and safety, resolving construction-related design issues, and maintaining positive working relationships with project design and third-party consultants.
- Identifying changes in scope or differing conditions and assisting Project Manager to secure appropriate change orders for project cost and time.
- Enforcing company policies and procedures to identify and mitigate risk of subcontractor and vendor performance.
- Generating the 3-week look ahead schedules and facilitating weekly contractor meetings relatable to the scope of responsibility.
- Monitoring the performance of field operations, assist in primary subcontractor scopes.
- Reviewing submittals and preparing daily reports with accurate, concise and detailed information.
- Managing and cultivating the documentation control process of field operations team members to preserve the integrity of the project.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualities Desired In Successful Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with an emphasis on interior and exterior finish construction.
- Multi-family experience is required.
- Obtain and maintain current certifications for First Aid, CPR and OSHA 30.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, draft and understand contracts.
- Ability to manage, resolve disputes and foresee potential cost or schedule issues.
- Outstanding oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, OpenSpace, Primavera (P6) is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful, but not a requirement.
