PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assists the High Schools Campuses with student enrollment, various projects, data processing, and other clerical help as needed, students working the auditoriums' sound booth and lights
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Must be an actively enrolled Junior or Senior in a Denton ISD Career Prep program throughout employment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficient skills on computer and software; including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provides back-up for the campus’ receptionist, office clerks, answering phone calls, directing phone calls, answering questions, assisting students & visitors, making students ID cards, etc...
- Assists front office with visitors’ orientation, assist new employee with a greeting and provide with basic information, assist substitutes.
- Assists with various department projects.
- Maintains an important level of confidentiality.
- Follows all rules, regulations, and policies of the Denton ISD and follows directives from superiors
- Follows attendance policy as assigned by supervisor
- Performs other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interprets policy, procedures, and data; coordinates district functions; maintains emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent district-wide and occasional statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting to fifty pounds. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
