Denton MEP is a growing MEP engineering consulting firm with approximately 30 employees. As we continue to expand, we are hiring a Financial Administrator to lead and manage our financial processes, allowing our team to focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Financial Administrator to manage our billing, invoicing, budgeting, and expense tracking. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely transactions, and supporting overall financial health. You will work closely with leadership and collaborate with administrative staff, playing a key part in our continued growth.
Our ideal candidate is someone who values structure, handles their responsibilities with care, and contributes to a smooth-running office environment – without the need for constant oversight or unnecessary complications.
Responsibilities
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
· Oversee invoicing and billing, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
· Track and reconcile company expenses to maintain financial accuracy.
· Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
· Ensure tax compliance, coordinating with external accountants as needed.
· Assist in drafting and managing financial proposals for projects.
· Maintain organized financial records and suggest improvements to financial processes.
· Other financial-related duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
· 5 years of experience in financial administration, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred.
· Proficiency in Excel, Word and QuickBooks (or similar financial software).
· Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple financial tasks accurately.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
· Able to work well with diverse personalities and perspectives.
· Experience in engineering, architecture, or construction is a plus but not required.
Work Environment
· Full-time (8 hrs/day) Mon-Fri at our office in downtown Denton, TX.
