Responsibilities and practice
Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate with 1-3 years of legal experience in regulatory work to join our sophisticated Chambers-rated Capital Markets practice. The person hired for this position will work closely with partners, counsel and associates to focus on financial services regulation, with a specific focus on consumer credit regulation and licensing. The associate hired will reside in our New York or Washington, DC office and will support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Managing a broad range of consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues
- Conducting research on various consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues on both the federal and state levels
- Working on legal memoranda analyzing consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues
- Working collaboratively with the team to carry out all aspects of regulatory licensing for clients of the Firm
- Supporting the practice as needed

Our highly regarded team represents virtually every banking and financial institution in the financing, purchase and securitization of financial assets. We also represent every type of market participant, including issuers, underwriters, investors, liquidity providers, lenders, conduits, trustees, servicers and originators in the US and beyond.
Pursuant to DC and NY laws, the salary range for this position in New York City and Washington, DC is $225,000 to $260,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
