Responsibilities and practice
Dentons Davis Brown is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Attorney with excellent academic credentials and practice experience to join our growing team. The person hired for this position has:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the state bar
- 6 years of experience in data privacy and protection law, with significant experience advising clients on privacy compliance
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to address complex legal issues related to data privacy and security
- Prior experience in a corporate, law firm, or in-house legal department is preferred
Ideally, candidates will have a portable book of business with growth potential.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Has strong verbal skills, with ability to clearly communicate advice to clients and others
- Embraces teamwork and values collaboration
Technical skills
- 6 years of data privacy experience
Other requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and be in good standing
