Candidates should have 5-7 years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation experience, and excellent academic credentials. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : Drafting complex case evaluations, drafting pleadings, motions and other litigation documentsWorking on all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal where relevantConducting, propounding and responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counselAnalyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analysesPosition requirements Personal skills / attributes Has exceptional writing and analytical skills, and can effectively communicate research into meaningful written work productIs dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethicPossesses superior organizational and time-management skillsDemonstrates an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, as well as adversaries and courtsHas excellent interpersonal, networking and business development skillsEmbraces teamwork and values collaborationTechnical skills 5-7 years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation experienceStrong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skillsFederal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plusExperience handling PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances) litigation is a plusOther requirements Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standingMust include a law school transcript and writing sample with applicationEqual opportunities Equal opportunity employer.
