Dentons US LLP is currently seeking a Proposals and Pursuits Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative proposals team. This individual will play a critical role in driving the firm’s growth by developing and managing high-quality proposals, pitches and RFP responses. They will collaborate closely with lawyers, business development professionals and firm leadership to craft compelling value propositions that align Dentons’ capabilities with client needs. In addition to proposal development, this role will contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening client relationships, enhancing cross-selling opportunities and refining best practices in pursuit management. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Draft, manage and deliver high-quality proposals, pitches and RFP responses, particularly for multi-regional and multi-practice opportunities.
- Collaborate with practice and sector leads to craft compelling value propositions that enhance client engagement and cross-selling opportunities.
- Standardize proposal materials and ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to all firm pursuits.
- Lead the intake and qualification of new opportunities, tracking proposal outcomes and implementing best practices.
- Work with global proposal teams to support multi-region pursuits, providing input on content, experience and relevant firm expertise.
- Utilize creative approaches to enhance the visual and written content of proposals in alignment with the firm’s brand guidelines.
- Support special projects related to client development and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in proposal writing, business development or a related professional services environment (law firm experience preferred).
- Demonstrated success in managing proposals and achieving favorable outcomes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Experience in developing visually compelling and persuasive content in a variety of media.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to enhance proposal effectiveness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other proposal-related software.
Salary
Denver and Chicago Only DOE: $85,000 to $105,000
