We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first and/or last point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the dental office. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar efficiently.
- Answer phones, emails and texts to handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Possibility of job share with insurance verification, sending of claims and management of medical billing tasks.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including health information management.
- File documents appropriately and ensure all records are up-to-date.
- Utilize computerized systems for appointment scheduling, billing, and patient records.
- Assist in managing office supplies and inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure optimal patient service.
Skills
- Bilingual skills are highly preferred to assist a diverse patient population.
- Experience in dental billing is advantageous for processing claims accurately.
- Strong patient service skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Proficiency in filing systems to maintain organized records efficiently.
- Competence in using computerized systems, particularly Dentrix or similar software.
- Ability to perform 10-key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of health information management principles to ensure compliance with regulations.
