Position Summary: Denver Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Athletics Intern who is a Sports Management major looking to gain hands-on experience in game day operations and the daily functions of an athletic department in a Christian school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong faith-focused mindset and be ready to assist in various aspects of the school's athletic events and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Game Day Operations:

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of sports events, including football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, cross country, and flag football.

  • Manage ticket gate setup for high school events, ensuring smooth operation and security.

  • Help coordinate gate workers and manage cash handling operations effectively.

  • Organize and run in-game entertainment, engaging the audience and enhancing the event experience.

  • Coordinate parking and locker room arrangements for visiting teams.

  • Ensure officials have designated locker rooms and address any needs they may have.

• Middle School Support:

  • Assist with coordinating travel logistics for middle school away games.

  • Drive middle school teams to away games as needed, ensuring safety and punctuality.

• Event Management:

  • Help organize special events such as Senior Nights, Homecoming, and Middle School Nights.

  • Provide support in planning and executing these events to ensure they run smoothly.

• Other Duties:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director to support the athletic department's needs.

  • Be willing to step into various roles as required to ensure the success of the athletic programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be a current Sports Management major or a related field.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive school vehicles.

• A commitment to maintaining a faith-focused mindset and aligning with the values of Denver Christian School.

• Willingness to answer all pre-interview questions related to faith and fit within the school's Christian environment.
