Job Summary:
Teachers at Denver Christian School deliver academic excellence within the context of a biblical worldview. They are responsible for administering a well-rounded, comprehensive, instructional program for students in the areas of education assigned by the appropriate Principal.

Professional Responsibilities: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, Teachers:

- Work together with their Principal and other teachers to create a strong, coherent curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
- Actively integrates faith and learning.
- Maintain a current curriculum map for assigned classes and actively participate in any curriculum committee discussions.
- Manage expenses and stay within the assigned budget.
- Maintain Colorado state teaching credentials (preferred) or other like-credentials acceptable with written approval by the Principal and Head of School
- Actively seek to improve performance through professional development, continuing education, and life-long learning opportunities
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Demonstrate successful classroom management and organizational skills.
- Comply with additional duties assigned by the Principal and/or outlined in the Faculty Procedures Handbook
Qualifications:
- Experience in either ECE or Kindergarten is required
- A state/national teaching certificate (Colorado preferred)
- A bachelor's degree in the subject area with an education degree
- Successful experience working with students in a similar position.
- Bible and literacy for 5-year-olds
- Being able to scaffold play and share the love of Jesus with 5-year-olds is helpful.
