Xanterra is looking for a Learning and Development Partner to act as a strategic partner and liaison between the Corporate Learning and Development team, operations, and the various business units within the corporate office. This role is responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of development programs, evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions, and fostering relationships across the travel collection. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with a growth mind-set who is passionate about employee development and understands how to align learning programs with organizational goals. They should be a great communicator, a collaborative partner, and able to analyze data to continuously improve programs.
Responsibilities
People & Culture
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies and programs
- Communicate company-wide training initiatives and delivery standards
- Provide on-boarding and coaching support for training delivery staff
- Build and maintain solid cross-functional relationships
- Support the execution of training programs designed to grow and develop people leaders in alignment with our talent strategies
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences in corporate and operational environments
- Manage train the trainer and facilitator certification programs
- Serve as a back-up to field trainers when necessary
- Participate in onboarding field HR and L&D personal as needed
- Lead, mentor, and develop the LMS Administrator
Processes
- Oversee specific areas within the L&D department including program execution, department communications, the LMS, and data analytics
- Connect learning to key business initiatives and priorities
- Regularly meet with members of human resources and SMEs to collect and analyze data and evaluate learning program effectiveness, ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and effective for audience and business needs
- Perform observation and assessment of instructional effectiveness for training delivery and make improvement recommendations
- Maintain L&D vendor relationships and software subscriptions
Technology
- Define learning metrics and partner with LMS admin and other internal data analysts to collect and visualize data
- Utilize video conferencing, webinar, IM, LMS, and other technology platforms to facilitate engaging virtual learning experiences
- Assist in developing training evaluation strategies and establishing plans for extracting and storytelling using data/metrics
- Apply technical skills to disseminate reporting from the LMS and other learning technology systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working in Learning & Development
- 5 years of practical experience in training delivery including developing training delivery strategies
- 3 years of experience delivering training for both corporate and operationally based employees
- 3 years of Learning Management System experience
- 3 years of Learning data analytics experience
- 3 years of Project Management experience
- Proven success delivering and evaluating blended learning programs
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working with an LMS to deliver, track, and report on training activity
- Strong attention to detail; tech savvy; ability to prioritize
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment and accomplish tasks by established deadlines
- Ability to travel as required, including to park locations multiple times per year as needed

- Experience delivering training programs in a seasonal workforce environment
- Experience in developing leadership development programs
- Experience with Absorb LMS
- Certified Predictive Index® PR practitioner
- Certified and/or skilled in Leadership and Performance Coaching
- Stays up to date with training industry best practices and willing to try new ideas
- Self- starter who enjoys building processes and structure to drive growth
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00.
