About the Club:
Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The 585 member, by invitation only private club, hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, swim & dive, casual and fine dining. The club has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur (Most Recent 2022), Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Golf Shop is consistently recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winning Golf Shop (Top 100) and has been recognized as a multiple winner of the Colorado Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year - Private Category.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide members and their guests with a quality and consistent golf experience, exemplifying a standard of excellence within all duties performed.
BAG ROOM:
- Prepare golf clubs prior to members arrival for play or practice.
- Clean golf clubs after use.
- Maintain a presentable bag room by keeping clean and organized.
- Maintain records of guest clubs.
- Prepare golf carts prior to members arrival for play or practice. Staging (parking) and stocking with tees, towels, scorecards, pencils, and sand mix.
- Maintain cleanliness of golf carts by washing carts at completion of use.
- Responsible for all golf carts getting charged after use.
- Detail carts (extra shine) on a schedule determined by manager.
- Maintain proper water levels in cart batteries.
- Clean Range Picker nightly.
- Gas Range Picker weekly.
- Daily set-up of practice tee and short game areas.
- Maintain supply of practice balls throughout the day.
- Maintain practice bunkers throughout the day.
- Pick up practice balls and wash balls throughout the day.
- Interact with membership and guests in a respectful and courteous way.
- Pick-up broken tees – nightly.
- Must be able to operate a golf cart with training.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- An outgoing personality - must be comfortable approaching, greeting, and conversing with members, guests, and co-workers.
- A positive attitude. “Others” first mentality.
- Available early mornings, afternoons, or evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- The job involves lifting and transporting items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- The golf services attendant must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch.
- The position requires to work indoors and well as outdoors which means being able to handle varying temperatures and weather conditions
- The position requires good manual dexterity for handling and maintaining of bags and equipment, managing inventory etc.
- Requires sensory abilities to hear to perceive and discriminate verbal conversations with members
- Effective verbal communication skills with members, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
