Position: Floral Designer - Part Time
Responsibilities: As a Floral Designer at Fort Mill Flowers, you'll have a range of exciting responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Innovative Designs: Effortlessly create floral bouquets, plant arrangements, gourmet baskets, and more, tailoring each creation to meet our customers' expectations and aligning with the company's vision.
- Event Expertise: Showcase your talent by designing stunning floral arrangements for weddings, corporate events, parties, and other special occasions. Bring magic to life through your exquisite event designs.
- Maintaining Excellence: Keep your work station and the department tidy and organized, ensuring an efficient and inspiring environment for creativity.
- Resource Management: Monitor and report low levels of supplies, hard goods, and fresh & plant components to the appropriate managers for timely replenishment.
- Production Assistance: Collaborate with the design and operations managers by assisting in production preparation, setting up containers, greenery, and other essentials.
- Administrative Support: Provide valuable assistance to the Design Manager with clerical tasks as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Strive for excellence in the floral design department, seeking ways to enhance our offerings and delight our customers.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in floral design is essential for this role. Demonstrated expertise in crafting beautiful arrangements for funerals, weddings, and other events is required.
- Design Range: Ability to design funeral pieces: casket covers, standing sprays, baskets, weddings, and more.
- Creativity: A keen eye for design and a flair for creativity are crucial.
- Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Team Spirit: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Availability: Must be available Saturday and Sunday as well as additional availability for all floral holidays: Valentine's day, Mother's day, Christmas, Thanksgiving.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Computer Skills: The ability to master order processing in our point of sale so you can independently process orders to fill on the weekends.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage your time to meet production deadlines.
Additional Qualifications:
- Physical Capability: Must be able to lift 30 pounds, as some arrangements and materials can be heavy.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as any off-site events or deliveries.
- Detail-Oriented: Possess a strong attention to detail, ensuring each arrangement meets our high-quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Some experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to handle administrative tasks when necessary.
- Independent Worker: Capable of working independently with little supervision, displaying self-motivation and initiative.
