About the Role :
The Department Chair oversees all care delivered by the Department of Inpatient Pediatrics and provides overall leadership, including :
- Strategic planning & leadership - Setting the direction for clinical and academic excellence.
- Clinical services - Overseeing patient care in the pediatric inpatient service, PICU, NICU, and newborn nursery.
- Faculty development - Supporting and mentoring medical staff.
- Medical education - Enhancing pediatric residency training and collaboration with UCSOM.
- Business performance - Managing departmental resources efficiently.
