Job Summary
The oral and maxillofacial physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, defects, and injuries occurring in the soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region - face, head, jaws, and neck.
Essential Functions :
- Performs biopsies to determine whether tumors or growths are cancerous. (0%)
- Administers local, regional, or general anesthetics to patients before surgeries. (0%)
- Surgically removes tumors and abnormal growths of the oral and maxillofacial areas. (0%)
- Adjusts patients' jaws to provide increased functionality, comfort, and symmetry. (0%)
- Removes impacted wisdom teeth and buried dental roots. (0%)
- Performs reconstructive surgery to treat congenital defects, structural abnormalities, and injuries. (0%)
- Prepares patients' mouths for dental implants. (0%)
- Collaborates with various healthcare specialists to create suitable treatment plans for patients. (0%)
