Job Summary
Under general supervision, the RN Supervisor provides support and leadership to registered nurses and medical assistants. Assists in treating employee exposures and workplace injuries. Performs pre-employment exams. Assists in orientation and training of new staff. Responsible for case review. Responsible for development of COSH staff schedule. Follows-up and follows through on problems / issues affecting operation. Teaches / facilitates other staff in the development of clinical analysis skills related to worker's compensation and employee health.
Essential Functions :
- Provides managerial duties to COSH clinical staff such as timecards, annual performance appraisals and staff schedules (20%)
- Provides orientation of new hires (10%)
- Prepares reports as requested for executives and organization (10%)
- Performs ancillary testing such as hearing, vision, EKG and spirometry (10%)
- Assists in treating employee exposures and workplace injuries (10%)
- Monitors and continuously updates employee health program (10%)
- Conduct research on the effects of hazardous work conditions or workplace exposures, which may include gathering data and reporting findings to the employer (10%)
- Required to draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis (10%)
- Required to collect samples for drug screening (10%)
