Real Estate Transactional Specialist
Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Real Estate Investment Officer, the Real Estate Transactional Specialist provides key support to the Real Estate Investments Department. This includes performing legal and title work, managing vendor contracts, handling financial closings, and coordinating with public/private partners, outside legal counsel, and title companies. The role involves public records research, drafting amendments, and assisting in various real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intermediate-level legal and title support, managing documentation, meetings, and transactional matters.
- Organize and maintain file systems for historical real estate data and ensure easy access for staff and partners.
- Develop and manage databases, tracking IRS and HUD regulatory updates relevant to real estate transactions.
- Assist with vendor procurement, contracting, invoicing, and loan or grant applications.
- Compile, analyze, and prepare data for reports and recommendations to staff and Board of Commissioners.
- Manage contract preparation, execution, and document management for real estate portfolio management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college degree in real estate, business, or management preferred.
- 2 years of full-time professional experience in title, real property transfers, and/or financial closings.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and document management skills.
- Proficiency in software such as word processing, spreadsheets, document management, and databases.
- A valid Colorado driver’s license.
