- Serves students from all eligibility categories. May need to teach literacy, math, language skills, behavioral skills, daily living skills, and / or adaptive skills, and may also provide physical care needs.
- Provides instruction at the large group, small group, and individual level.
- Collaborates with general education staff for successful inclusion of students.
- Teaches and manages a self-contained classroom for students with autism spectrum disorders, whose educational needs center on development of academics, social-emotional and adaptive behavior skills
- Provides instruction for students with emotional disabilities with an emphasis on instruction for behavioral skills, social skills, and academic skills.
- Provides instruction and services for students who frequently present with multiple disabilities. Curriculum emphasis is in skill development in the domain areas of : basic skills and concepts (including functional academics), recreation and leisure, community, vocational and domestic. Motor, communication and social skills are infused throughout all areas.
- Provides instruction and services in a self-contained classroom for students who need more time for specialized instruction. This may include the teaching of general academics, functional academics, behavioral skills, social skills, and daily living skills. Collaborates with general education staff for the successful inclusion of students.

- Assists in conducting testing and assessment, multimedia activities, record-keeping, computer operation, discipline, and other activities.
- May provide medically invasive (e.g. tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning) and daily living (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, personal hygiene) following universal precautions and as trained and directed.
- Assists and supports the development of lesson plans, and provides feedback to teacher(s) / supervisor(s) on individual students.
- Communicates and coordinates with students and parents (oral and written) about routine educational issues.What You'll Need :

- Specialized training in invasive procedures, such as tube feeding and catheterization will be provided, as assignment requires.
- Must pass District approved written and physical exams covering de-escalation and physical restraint training, on an annual basis.
- Required training must be completed within 75 days of initial hire.
- If transporting students or using personal or a company vehicle to conduct work duties, they must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain a Colorado driver's license within the state's required time frame for new residents and meet the District's insurability requirements.
