Summary
The hiring salary range for this position is $5,003.44 - $6,006.16 / month or $2,501.72 - $3,003.08 / semi-monthly depending on qualifications.
Contract experience is not required. Prior roles in administrative support, insurance support / administration, and client services are great foundations for this opportunity. The contract specialist position combines the best of both worlds by providing growth in understanding of contract administration while serving people in our community! It is the second of a four level contract series that encompasses all stages of the contract cycle from preparing proposals through contract execution. The selected candidate will engage with management staff, vendors, legal counsel, and insurance brokers to develop and monitor contract requirements and compliance on federal and state funded programs serving veteran, aging, and disabled populations in Denver's eight county region. The position is hands on and provides a great opportunity to learn about contractual language / terms, budgets, grant funding and compliance, business insurance policies, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and much more. It truly is a position that affords both career growth and community service all while working in a fantastic work environment. An Associate's degree and three to five years of clerical, office support and accounting support experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully carry out the essential job duties will also be considered. Of course, prior contract experience is a plus but is not required.

Description of Work

- Receives, reviews, validates, processes, prepares, reconciles and / or archives contractual documents,
payments invoices, purchase orders, and / or other records for assigned functions; verifies approvals or
prepares and submits documents for approval; issues receipts; posts financial data, and / or account
information.

Education and Experience
