Position Title: Database Developer & CaseWorthy Product Owner
Reports to: Director of Impact and Compliance
Job Classification: Full-time; Exempt
Salary Range: $72,600 - $96,800 annually

The Opportunity:
The Database Developer and CaseWorthy Product Owner position will play a critical role in leading the development, maintenance, and optimization of Denver Rescue Mission’s data systems which directly supports our ability to measure program impact, secure funding, and ensure service quality. This position will act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for CaseWorthy, the Mission’s case management system as well as support the Microsoft SQL (Structured Query Language) Server databases, SalesForce, and other critical applications. This role will require a highly skilled technical professional with a passion for using data and systems to drive organizational effectiveness and mission impact.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Act as the product owner and super user for the CaseWorthy case management system, managing configuration, customization, and support using APBuilder and backend SQL tools.
- Develops and maintains backend components for CaseWorthy and other platforms including SQL tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and data models.
- Builds and maintains actionable reports and dashboards in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), PowerBI, Salesforce, and other platforms to inform decision-making.
- Leads technical development and integration for Scribe and Salesforce, collaborating with the Impact team and external vendors to implement solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Acts as the primary report writer across all Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) databases and systems.
- Assists the Salesforce administrator with cases, integrations, apex development, flow building, and other salesforce related tasks.
- Provides primary technical support for database platforms and related applications including issue tracking, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Performs quality assurance testing on all technical changes to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
- Serves as a key resource in evaluating statements of work from vendors and consultants, offering technical input and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborates with the Director of Impact and obtains IT Director approval for technical work across systems, networks and databases.
- Participates in vendor and partner selection for future database enhancements and developmental projects.
- Acts as a consultant and contributor to continuous improvement initiatives that leverage data and technology to improve operational efficiency and service outcomes.
- Coordinates and communicates regularly with IT, Operations, Development, and Program staff to ensure database integrity, security, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field. A combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Three (3) years of experience in database development, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Managed Instances.
- Experience working with CaseWorthy or similar case management systems is highly desirable.
- Salesforce Administrator or Developer Certification and experience with Apex preferred.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, and database optimization.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Scribe, and integrations with external systems.
- Proficiency in SSRS, PowerBI and data visualization/reporting tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Must have an Active Driver’s License as a limited amount of work-related travel may be required.
- Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
