Position Title: Director of Impact & Compliance
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Job Classification: Full-time; Exempt
Salary Range: $81,400 - $108,500 annually

The Opportunity:
The Director of Impact & Compliance is a critical leadership role at Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) and will be responsible for ensuring that DRM meets all grant and grant related contract obligations. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures, monitoring compliance with funding requirements, and managing relationships with funders. This position also provides leadership and oversight to the Impact Team, which is responsible for managing the organization’s data systems (CRM’s), reporting on program outcomes, and driving data-informed decision-making.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
GRANTS & CONTRACT COMPLIANCE:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures for all grants, government contracts, and other related contracts.
- Participate in the pre-award review process, including proposal review, budget development, and compliance risk assessment.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with grant and contract terms and conditions, including programmatic, financial, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the recording of services and billing for Medicaid and other related eligible programs and services.
- Serve as the primary liaison with funders and auditors on compliance matters.
- Conduct regular internal audits and monitoring activities to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Develop and deliver training to staff on grant and contract compliance topics.
- Stay abreast of changes in federal, state, and local regulations related to grants and contracts.
IMPACT MANAGEMENT:
- Ensure the accurate and timely collection, entry, and analysis of all data in the organization's CRMs (CaseWorthy and Salesforce).
- Oversee the development and submission of reports to funders and other stakeholders.
- Promote a data-informed culture within the organization, encouraging the use of data to inform program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with program staff to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and program outcomes.
- Standardize process for evaluating requests for database enhancements, reporting, and data collection.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
LEADERSHIP:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Impact Team, which includes the Manager of Impact and Database Administrators.
- Collaborate with DRM leaders on appropriate compliance and grant opportunities.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in grants management and compliance, preferably in the human services sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing grants and contracts.
- Experience managing and analyzing data, including proficiency with CRMs and other data management tools. Experience with CaseWorthy and/or Salesforce preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- An Active Driver’s License as a limited amount of work-related travel may be required.
- Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
