General Statement of Job Function
DC Student Life Assistant – will plan, organize and run events for the DC Extension Campus including Chapel Services, Convocation, Graduation Celebrations, and other special events. This person will also attend all student events and offer all the support needed. This is a part-time (average 10 hours/week) position and runs from July 2025 through June 2026.

Normal office working conditions including computer usage may require occasional standing, walking, long periods of sitting, climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Essential Functions
- Manages planning and logistics of events and community gatherings by researching venues and coordinating student volunteers, speakers, and other participants to ensure effective and well-run programs.
- Prepares invitations and flyers to communicate details of events and to encourage student engagement.
- Recruits students to volunteer to participate in decorating and hosting events.
- Orders and picks up food for student events
- Attends all major student events to offer the support needed.
- Assists the DC Director with drafting, printing and distribution of invitations, advertising materials and promotional processes.
- Generally, supports the DC Campus Director with whatever priorities and tasks arise.
- Committed personal relationship with Jesus Christ required and a lifestyle consistent with the Seminary’s Community Values and Behavioral Commitments.
- Agreement with Denver Seminary’s statement of faith.
- Demonstrates care and commitment to fellow students.
- Sensitive to and willing to grow in intercultural competency and racial awareness.
- A collaborative and flexible team player.
- Creative and has a good eye for detail.
- Accepts supervision and able to complete tasks without supervision; self-motivated.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, manage time and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing skills, editing skills, and proofreading abilities are required.
- Strong time-management ability and willingness to prioritize relevant Student Life events.
