The Tennis Professional plays an essential role in maintaining and enhancing the positive culture at Denver Tennis Club (DTC). Reporting directly to the Head Pro, this position focuses on providing high-quality instruction, fostering strong relationships with members, and contributing to the overall success of the club’s tennis programs. The Tennis Professional will offer private lessons, assist in club events, and support member engagement through active participation in the DTC community.

Overview:
The Denver Tennis Club Teaching Professional delivers high-quality instruction to private tennis club members. This individual should possess a deep understanding of tennis and a passion for helping players of all ages and skill levels achieve their goals. They must work well with other Pros and DTC staff while contributing to the community and culture.
Primary Responsibilities
Instruction:
- Provide private lessons to current and new members, from beginners to advanced players of all ages
- Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to individual player needs and goals.
- Help with junior clinics and specialized programs (e.g., adult camps and destination tennis)
- Provides ½ hour lesson assessments with new members
- Ability to teach and work during the week and/or on weekends
Programming and Events:
- Attend monthly Pro staff meetings and plan to attend some club social events to engage with DTC members
Member Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with members to understand their goals and promote club programs
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for all members and guests
Administrative Duties:
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Head Pro, and Pro Staff on scheduling, marketing, and program development
- Be professional and responsive to texts/emails and member requests for lessons. This is extremely important
Qualifications:
- Previous or proven experience as a tennis instructor or coach
- Preferred certification by a recognized tennis organization (e.g., USPTA, PTR)
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching tennis
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tennis instruction techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and a commitment to creating a fun and energizing learning environment
- Ability to engage and motivate players of all levels
- Organizational and time management skills
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) for lessons and clinics with an 80% take
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
