Position Summary
Under direct supervision, perform installation and maintenance of all aspects of plumbing work including commercial and residential heating within facilities, treatment plants, pump stations, vaults, and other sites. Train and supervise apprentice plumbers.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, replace, and repair all types of plumbing and plumbing fixtures.
- Train and supervise apprentice plumbers across multiple locations. Ensure apprentices are producing work of acceptable quality in accordance with relevant plumbing codes. Maintain tools and equipment in proper condition by cleaning them as needed. – Plumber Associate Only
- Assist with ordering and scheduling material, and projects involving shops.
- Utilize computer software documents and work orders to complete assigned tasks.
- Adhere to National Plumbing Codes and other state and local codes as required.
- Perform installation and maintenance of gas, heating, and air conditioning piping. – Plumber/Plumber Sr. Only
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper condition by cleaning them as needed. – Plumber/Plumber Sr. Only
- Perform the inspection of heating and cooling systems and other mechanical type equipment. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Pull permits as required. Coordinate state and city inspections as required. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Coordinate and schedule outages with the utilities and assist on troubleshooting outages. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Train and instruct personnel in methods and procedures, safe material handling methods, general plumbing, safety procedures, and the cleaning of equipment and work areas. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Perform related work as required.

- Hiring Range: $27.32 - $30.96 hourly (Plumber Associate)
- Hiring Range: $30.57 - $34.65 hourly (Plumber)
- Hiring Range: $33.65 - $38.14 hourly (Plumber Sr.)

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience. – Plumber Associate Only
- Minimum 4 years of related work experience. – Plumber Only
- Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.
Licenses, Registration, and Certifications:
- Must possess a Colorado State Residential Plumbing License. – Plumber Associate Only
- Must possess a Colorado State Journeyman Plumbing License. – Plumber Only
- Must possess a Colorado State Master Plumbing License. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience. – Plumber Sr. Only
- May be required to complete an Asbestos Awareness Training once hired.
- May be required to obtain a City & County of Denver Plumbing A License once hired. – Plumber/Plumber Sr. Only
- May be required to obtain a Plumber Contracting License once hired. – Plumber Sr. Only
- Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
