The Sales and Hospitality Coordinator supports the financial and logistical success of DZCA's Corporate Events Rental Program. This role is responsible for prospecting, selling, coordinating, and planning corporate event rentals, including but not limited to employee and client appreciation events, meetings, conferences, after-hours rentals, and select social events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Client Engagement
- Support sales strategies to attract and retain corporate rental clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
- Conduct site visits, create compelling event proposals, upsell enhancements, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including some holidays and required weekends during peak seasons, as well as evenings.
Event Coordination and Logistics
Oversee the planning and execution of corporate events, ensuring seamless operations.Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to align expectations and event details.Submit applicable internal requests and schedule appropriate support staff for events.Work collaboratively with a variety of institutional departments to ensure all client and internal event needs are fulfilled.Financial and Administrative Oversight
Maintain accurate records of event sales, contracts, invoices, and insurance requirements.Track and report revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics to leadership.Submit purchase orders and monitor budgets to ensure cost-effective event execution.Identify, maintain, and grow a CRM database of corporate rental clients.Guest Experience and Institutional Alignment
Provide outstanding guest service and create memorable experiences for all event attendees.Act as an ambassador of DZCA's core values, ensuring inclusivity and excellence in all interactions.Uphold sustainability policies and contribute to DZCA's mission through environmentally responsible event planning.Stay informed on industry trends to continuously improve event offerings and guest engagement.Interface with the catering team to lead joint meetings, assist in the creation of policies, and ensure efficiency.Other Duties and Responsibilities
Other assistance, as designated by the Sales and Hospitality Manager, to support the overall goals of the department and organization. DZCA retains the right to add or change duties and / or responsibilities at any time.Track event-related expenses, process purchase orders, and support revenue reporting to ensure financial accountability. Acts as a good steward of DZCA's resources.The nature of this position requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of DZCA.This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, including a high level of interaction with members of external organizations and the public.Technical / Professional Requirements & Qualifications
College degree or high school diploma with demonstrated work experience in event hospitality or business.Experience in sales, event, or hospitality management with a preference for experience working in a high-volume customer-focused venue or attraction, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and / or special skills.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Understanding of sales processes, prospecting techniques, and event planning principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM / event management software.Ability to think critically and innovatively while working with diverse teams to achieve objectives.Familiarity with best practices in public speaking, effective written and verbal communication, and professional correspondence.Demonstrated ability to take initiative, adapt to change, think creatively, and collaborate effectively.Requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks.Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task, and changing environment, and the ability to work as part of a team.Requires the ability to embrace, support, and integrate DZCA's philosophies to promote and demonstrate its commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.Position Conditions
Ability to pass a background check, and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.Schedule Availability : Must be available to work varying shifts / hours based on business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Work Location : On campusCompensation
The salary range for this position is $25.94 - $31.78 (hourly).
