Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! CSS System Specialist (Information Systems Specialist 3) – Part-Time
Enterprise Information Services (EIS) is a state government-wide information technology (IT) program led by Oregon’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). Cyber Security Services (CSS) is an information security management section within EIS. It acts as a shared information security resource for the state of Oregon. CSS’s mission: Leading Oregon Government to safeguard the State’s information resources. Join this essential team as Cybersecurity System Support!
You will provide comprehensive customer support and technical assistance for agency software platforms to ensure high levels of customer service and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams. Assisting customers via phone, computer, and in-person to address general inquiries, prioritize and manage support tickets, and provide troubleshooting and IT support. Also supporting report preparation and distribution, helping implement software changes, identify, and resolve software and hardware compatibility issues, monitor software performance and service quality and collaborate with internal teams to address issues, create, and update process documentation.
Please Note: This is a permanent, part-time, SEIU represented position. This part-time position is scheduled to work 20 hours a week and the salary listed above will be prorated to reflect this. The work schedule will be discussed at the interview and finalized when the job offer is made.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of information systems experience in: cybersecurity, software support or help desk environments; OR
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or closely related field.
Desired Attributes:
- Excellent skills in communicating effectively with technical and business partners in writing and in oral expression including making presentations and working collaboratively with technical and business partners.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, peers and other agencies and the public.
- Ability to practice critical thinking skills, including scientific methodology, analyzing technical methodologies, business practices and technical reports.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Skill managing multiple and competing priorities with short deadlines, ensure completion of projects and assignments including the ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking to interpret, prioritize and follow policy direction.
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity or information technology is not required. However, you will be expected to continually work with and learn from our security team and stay current with the latest cybersecurity concepts and risks.
