Job Duties
Lead Certified Nurse Aide Assist Nurses By:
communicating using
specialized training for promoting mental wellness recovery.

Ability to provide direct patient care under supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to effectively communicate with others, following written and oral instructions, as well as electronic communication.

Successful completion of Therapeutic Options (TO) Training, and CPR; Ability to administer CPR and perform TO approved physical interventions.
Ability to work overtime hours, rotating weekends, and holidays, as well as during staffing emergencies.

Ability to demonstrate competencies as defined on the C.N.A. competency assessment and maintain all required orientation and annual competencies.
Vision and hearing adequate to recognize and respond to hazardous situations and ensure safety of people at facility.
Demonstrated ability to practice infection control measures.
Requires ability to perform repetitious walking and/or standing, bending, lifting, and reaching overhead to position, restrain/transfer/transport and/or escort individuals.
Expert knowledge within CNA role of human behavior, age-specific needs, and personality development
Excellent communication skills demonstrated at different levels in organization and between departments and shifts.
Ability to work effectively with staff in a team approach and appropriately intervene in crisis or problem situations utilizing conflict management and problem-solving skills.

Additional Considerations
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Experience in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term care, or correction setting is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work field is highly preferred.
Basic computer skills needed.
