Job Duties

We are seeking a clinician to provide psychiatric evaluation and onsite coverage for geriatric (65 ) public sector patient population. This position will work primary hours of 8 am-5:00 pm. This position provides on-call as needed psychiatric services on weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will have a high level of knowledge and skill in general psychiatry; ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines; interest in working with geriatric mental illnesses. The candidate will provide direct psychiatric interventions, follow-ups and consultations to patients on other designated units as requested. This position is also responsible for providing brief monthly psychiatric evaluations to patients scheduled for routine team review.

Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted medical licensure by the Virginia Board of Medicine.

Medical degree and completion of an ACGME-approved residency training in Psychiatry.

Current DEA controlled Substance registration/licensed

Additional Considerations

Board Certification preferred but board eligible accepted.
