What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Department of Buildings?
This position is located in the Department of Buildings (DOB), Office of the Director. The mission of the District of Columbia Department of Buildings is to protect the safety of residents, businesses, and visitors and advance the development of the built environment through permitting, inspections, and code enforcement.
Incumbent, as the Account Manageris responsible for conducting in-depth research, data analysis, and strategic planning for specialized initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent assesses project feasibility, tracks key performance indicators, and provides insights to optimize outcomes. Incumbent collaborates with cross-functional teams, prepares comprehensive project plans, schedules, reports, and presentations, and contributes to decision-making processes integral to project success. Incumbent proactively works with clients to navigate regulations, comply with requirements, improve business outcomes, and improve resident quality of life and customer experience.
Identifies areas for agency process improvement with respect to customer service, permitting, inspections, plan review, vacant buildings, and other agency policies and protocols. Facilitates and maintains transparent and effective project communications and daily collaborations between and among the Office of the Director, Office of Strategic Code Enforcement, Office of Building and Construction Standards, the Office of Zoning Administration, and the Office of General Counsel during project plan formulation, goal setting, and execution.
Qualifications and Education
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
