Financial Management Level 1 Certified Position
This is a position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
Duties:
- Prepare various types of daily budget reports for collection and auditing purposes.
- Data entry for deposit processing and collection.
- Assist in the administration of account management.
- Comply and refer to governing regulations, policies and procedures for determining proper treatment of financial and budget transactions.
Requirements:
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
Qualifications:
- US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
- You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Basic Requirement (Financial Technician):
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes perform technician work in support of budget analysis or administration such as: maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data, utilizing excel to track expenditures/receivables and data input.
- OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business/Financial/Budget Management, and/or Accounting.
- OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
