About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Physician (Psychiatry) to join our team at the Department of Defense. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing inpatient services, partial hospitalization services, intensive outpatient services, routine outpatient services, consultation liaison services
- Making recommendations on major diagnostics and treatment plans
- Providing continuing follow-up care for chronic inpatients and outpatients with acute disorders and complications of disorders
- Identifying patient treatment needs and arranging for a safe therapeutic outcome
- Preparing case summaries and other correspondence
Requirements
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting
- Residency training in the specialty of psychiatry and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years
