Job Description:
Conduct thorough bio-psycho-social assessments as appropriate for discipline.
Provide treatment services, including inpatient services, consultation liaison services, partial hospitalization, day programs, emergency psychiatric services, tele-psychiatric services, and routine and intensive outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric medical care to a broad range of patients with both common and complex medical concerns.
- Evaluate care provided to patients at MTF, identify opportunities to change the care delivered, advise on difficult or complex cases, and make recommendations such as hospitalization or determining a service member's fitness for duty.
- Determine and provide mental health assessment of fitness and suitability for duty and deployments of service members based on psychiatric clinical assessment.
This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing and must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
The ideal candidate will have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in the specialty of psychiatry and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 5 years.
