Working Conditions
Work primarily in an office setting. The position may require the incumbent to wear a uniform identifying the employee as CDFW staff. This position offers the possibility of an office-centered telework agreement based on the Department's current Telework Policy.
This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Accrual Credit

- Knowledge of Geographic Information System and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities at once.
- Sensitivity and compassion to diverse stakeholders with varied views and values
- Ability to interact with the public and maintain a high level of professional integrity;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, get along well with others, and work in small groups for extended periods of time
- Ability and willingness to work for hours and days in wilderness settings;
- Willing to work in remote locations, often requiring hiking or long drives on dirt or 4x4 only roads to reach
