As the Building Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing custodial operations and maintenance services for commercial state office buildings
- Providing supervision of skilled trades supervisors and operations personnel
- Maintaining excellent customer service while balancing competing priorities
- Assisting with managing annual budget by monitoring expenses, financial reports, and projecting cost variances
- Project management of contracted services such as building alternations and improvements
- Maintaining good tenant relations including timely follow up with tenants
- Administering health and safety programs
To be successful in the role, here is what we are looking for:
- Three years of progressively responsible building management experience, two years of which shall have involved the supervision of a large office or institutional building (of at least 100,000 square feet) involving public contacts and responsibility for a large maintenance and custodial staff.
Desired qualifications:
- Knowledge of commercial real estate industry
- General understanding of electrical, heating, and other building systems
- Experience with daily property inspections
- Experience in hiring custodial staff and grounds crew
- Permits and licenses related to building
- Project management
- Building operations
- Health and Safety programs
