Job Summary
The Department Of Health And Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Dental Care Professional to provide pediatric dental services to children. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Chief Dentist to develop and implement effective dental operating room programs and collaborations.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality pediatric dental services in various settings, including outreach locations, hospitals, and surgery centers.
- Develop and maintain accurate patient records, including oral conditions, clinical notes, and treatment administered.
- Collaborate with other dentists to develop treatment plans for complex cases involving minors and adults with special needs.
- Perform root canal therapy and pulpal therapy, including regenerative procedures, apexification, apexogenesis, pulpotomies, and root canals of permanent teeth.
Eligibility Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
You must have at least three years of professional dentistry experience and/or training, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
Examples include:
- Experience in pediatric dental services, preventative care, clinical examinations, and emergency services.
- Completion of a residency program in dentistry, oral health, or a related field.
