Job Description
General Dentistry Duties
Dentist performs all facets of general dentistry on patients of all ages. Evaluates dental assistants' performance, gives real-time feedback, and performs competencies and performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates dental cases and develops treatment plans
- Provides restorative, pediatric, periodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, diagnostic, surgical, and preventative dental services
- Performs oral surgeries, such as extraction of impacted teeth or full mouth extraction
- Provides routine pedodontic procedures and treats cases of rampant caries in children
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA)
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- One or more years of experience performing professional dentistry work, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
