Job Overview
The Department Of Health And Human Services seeks a highly skilled Pediatric Dentist to provide top-notch dental care to children. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Chief Dentist to plan and manage dental operating room programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality pediatric dental services in outreach locations, collaborating hospitals, OR, and same-day surgery centers.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including oral conditions, clinical notes, appointments, and treatment administered.
- Assist other dentists in their treatment planning and treatment of complex dental problems with minors and adults with special needs.
- Perform root canal therapy and pulpal therapy, including regenerative procedures, apexification, apexogenesis, pulpotomies, and root canals of permanent teeth.
Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
You must have at least three years of professional dentistry experience and/or training, equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
Examples include:
- Experience in providing pediatric dental services, preventative care, clinical and radiographic examinations, and emergency services.
- Successful completion of a 3-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science.
